Brian was working on his car (days before our 20th reunion) when it fell off its supports and crushed him.  He was working on his car in Chris Reinhardt's commercial warehouse.

 

Chris Reinhardt shared the following:

 

Brian’s wife came down to my shop at about 10:00 pm to check on Brian because he would not  answer his phone.  I got a call at 11:00 from the St. Paul police to inform me that there had been a death at my place of business.  Driving to the business I knew Brian was at the shop and thought Brian found a body on the property.  When I got there the police asked me if I knew a Brian Koppy.  They told me how he died.  I was devastated to find out Brian was crushed by the car he was working on.  I was so hurt because Brian was one of my best friends.  The next morning I had to tell 40 employees what happened to Brian.  It was truly a sad time for everyone as I cried with his dad.
